The founder of Clarity Wellbeing Services Joanne Britton qualified as a counsellor in 2005 prior to this she spent much of career involved in physical and mental wellbeing. Joanne started her counselling career working as a counsellor for a leading mental health charity before working as a G.P Counsellor in Ipswich. She has experience working with many presenting problems and works in an intigrative way ensuring the counselling approach is tailored to the individual clients needs. Joanne has a particular interest in working with clients who are suffering from Past Trauma (childhood issues) Anxiety, Post Natal Depression, Relationship problems, including domestic abuse and Anxiety and Anger issues.
Whilst working for the leading mental health charity, Joanne delievered numerous wellbeing courses including Anger management, Anxiety, Postnatal Depression and Confidence and Self Esteem, Addiction and Depression; as well as delivering Stress Management Workshops in the workplace. In 2007 Joanne specialised in writing and delivering a course specifically for mothers struggling to adapt to the dramatic changes that take place after childbirth. She also gives presentations to students and health care professionals on Maternal and Postnatal mental health.
Joanne is a qualified Integrative Counsellor, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and is bound by BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
